Inspect hidden GPS coordinates, camera hardware serials, timestamps, and exposure settings, or permanently purge all metadata with zero quality loss. 100% private in-browser memory.
Inspect hidden GPS coordinates, camera serials, timestamps, and camera settings, or purge all tags losslessly with zero quality loss.
Drag and drop one or multiple JPG, PNG, or WebP photos into the dropzone. Photos are read instantly into your browser's local RAM.
Click 'Inspect & View Tags' to explore all camera settings, exposure specs, and open discovered GPS coordinates on Google Maps or OpenStreetMap.
Download individual cleaned images or export all photos at once in a single sanitized ZIP archive with zero quality loss.
Every time you snap a picture with an iPhone, Android smartphone, or DSLR camera, the device automatically stamps dozens of invisible data points directly into the file header. This is known as EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) metadata.
Smartphone cameras record your precise latitude, longitude, and altitude down to a few feet. When you upload photos to classifieds or forums, anyone can extract your home address or daily commute.
EXIF headers store the exact phone model, lens serial number, firmware version, and software used. Forensic researchers and advertisers use these unique fingerprints to correlate anonymous accounts.
Headers contain sub-second capture timestamps and often embed an unedited thumbnail of the original photo—sometimes revealing parts of an image you deliberately cropped out before sharing!
Most online EXIF removers download your image, re-encode it through an image library (which recompresses the pixels and visibly destroys detail), and send it back.
PrivaStash takes a fundamentally different engineering approach: we parse the raw binary byte stream of your JPEG or PNG file. We isolate the specific metadata segments (APP1, APP13, and eXIf chunks) and splice them out without touching a single compressed pixel. The result? 100% identical image quality, zero generational compression artifacts, and instantaneous processing in your local RAM.

EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) is embedded data automatically recorded by smartphones and digital cameras. With PrivaStash, you can view your exact GPS latitude and longitude, camera manufacturer and model, software/firmware version, capture date and time, and exposure settings like shutter speed, aperture (f-number), ISO, and focal length.
