By accessing or using PrivaStash ("the Service", "privastash.com"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our website and utility tools.

2. Intellectual Property & User Ownership

Because all computational tasks run exclusively inside your browser's sandbox memory without transmitting files over the network, PrivaStash never stores, inspects, or acquires any intellectual property license over your creative or proprietary materials. PrivaStash makes no claim to your generated barcodes, compressed media, or extracted text.

3. Permitted & Prohibited Use

PrivaStash is provided free of charge for personal, academic, non-profit, and commercial utility use. However, by using the Service, you agree NOT to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with our web application bundles or server configurations.
• Use the tools to generate, format, compress, or distribute malware, illegal content, or malicious code.
• Employ automated scraping scripts, bots, or denial-of-service tools that place unreasonable load on our CDN.
• Engage in fraudulent ad clicks, bot traffic generation, or attempt to manipulate advertising metrics.

4. Browser Compatibility & Local Computation

PrivaStash relies heavily on modern client-side web technologies, including HTML5 Canvas, WebAssembly (Wasm), and Web Workers. The performance, memory handling, and output quality of large file operations (e.g. multi-page PDF rendering or gigapixel image compression) depend directly upon your device hardware, browser version, and available device memory (RAM).

5. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is" Basis)

PrivaStash provides its services on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

• We do not guarantee that the tools will be completely error-free, uninterrupted, or fully compatible with every legacy file format.
• Data Backup Notice: You are solely responsible for maintaining backup copies of all original source files prior to executing compression, resizing, conversion, or formatting tasks.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PrivaStash, its creator Omar Faruk, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from the use or inability to use our tools, including loss of data, loss of profits, device failure, or business interruption.

7. Third-Party Advertising & External Links

To maintain PrivaStash as a 100% free service without subscription fees, we may display third-party advertisements served by ad networks such as Google AdSense. PrivaStash does not endorse or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party advertisers or external websites linked to or from our service.

8. Changes to the Service & Terms

We reserve the right to modify, introduce new utilities, or update these terms at our sole discretion. Any changes will take effect immediately upon updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of PrivaStash following any revision constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
